Setting or Changing Your IP Address:
Macintosh
- Launch the TCP/IP Control Panel. This can usually be found by looking under the Apple menu, then Control Panels.

- All the changes are made here:
- Set to connect via ethernet and to configure manually.
- Set the IP Address to an available address from your IP block or private network. Home DSL users: enter the IP address assigned to you.
- If you have a routable IP block, enter the subnet mask provided; otherwise, use 255.255.255.0.
- Set the router address to the local IP address of your router (this will be on the same network as your own IP address). Home DSL users: use the Gateway IP address provided.
- For the name server addresses, enter 204.212.42.4 and 204.212.42.2.
- You can safely ignore the "Search domains" list.
- Close the control panel, then click on "Save" when the confirmation dialog pops up.
