Trumpet Winsock Configuration

To configure Trumpet for connecting to SpeedGate, first close any applications that might be using your modem. Next, open Trumpet, and from the "File" menu, select "PPP options".


After selecting "PPP options", the window you see below should have popped up. Check the box labeled "Use Password Authentication Protocol (PAP)" and fill in your user name and password in the appropriate blanks. After you have done this, click on "OK".

WARNING! (2/28/01) The settings have changed! You must add "@speed.net" to your username! In the example below, you would enter "user_name@speed.net" instead.

You will also want to run "setup.cmd" that is found under the "Dialer" menu. Fill in the phone number, your username and password again and you're done. That's it! Have fun surfing!
