SpeedGate Technical Support
Thank you for choosing SpeedGate! We hope this page will provide you with quick and painless support for years to come. We think you will find everything you need on these pages to keep you updated, informed, and, of course, connected. We are always updating the information found in the support section of the SpeedGate Homepage and would love to hear any input you may have on how this section may be improved. Simply select "Contact SpeedGate Technical Support" below to do this. For now you may pick from the following options:
We don't tolerate spam! If you have received spam claiming to be from a speed.net address, please read about email forgeries.
Common Email Issues:
- If you have a dial-up connection, make sure you are using dialup-pop.speed.net for the incoming mail server and dialup-smtp.speed.net for the outgoing mail server.
- If you have DSL or another dedicated connection, please make sure that you have both the SMTP server (sending) and POP server (receiving) configured in your mail client as mail.speed.net (unless you connect through another provider).
- If you have residential DSL, be sure to check your email first before you try to send. If it has been more than 30 minutes since you last checked your email, you will need to check it again before you can send.
- For older versions of Eudora and Eudora Lite: The POP Account field in the Eudora settings looks like an e-mail address, but it isn't. Rather than yourname@speed.net, it should be either yourname@mail.speed.net or yourname@dialup-pop.speed.net. Your actual email address remains yourname@speed.net.
