Backup Power Information

All SpeedGate systems are on UPS backup power supplies. In the event of a blackout, battery power will keep our servers, routers, and other systems running for 3-5 hours, well over the time usually allotted for rolling blackouts.

So even if our building loses power, your website will stay available. Your email will keep collecting messages. Your DSL or dialup connection will stay up. Unless you lose power yourself, you probably won't even notice anything happened, because our systems will just keep going.

While we have sufficient power reserves on our network systems to ensure that your service will not be interrupted, our office systems are not on the same backup power system. If our building loses power, you may have trouble contacting us by telephone, and we may not have access to all accounting information.
